SJND principal to retire in June

Anthony Aiello announced his retirement as principal at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda at a faculty meeting on Dec. 1. A Catholic educator for 45 years, he has been principal at St. Joseph High School and then St. Joseph Notre Dame for 36 years. His retirement will be effective at the end of the current school year.

“The people of St. Joseph Notre Dame High School and the St. Joseph community are a big part of my life. I have been blessed to have served at this remarkable school for so many years,” Aiello said.

He recently oversaw the completion of a $9 million capital campaign that has provided the school with a modern library and music room as well as a new science center and renovated gymnasium.
