Almost 200 couples entered a 50th or more wedding anniversary contest sponsored by The Catholic Voice and Scott's Seafood restaurant at Jack London Square in Oakland.

Scott's and The Voice teamed together to award 20 of the couples, selected in a random drawing, $50 gift certificates for Scott's restaurants in Oakland or Walnut Creek. All those who entered but didn't win will receive a gift certificate for a complimentary bottle of wine or champagne and photograph with their next visit to Scott's.

The 20 winning couples are: Cecil and Emma Guidry, Concord; Bill and Doris Gross, Danville; Robert and Paula Plevin, Hayward; David and Genevieve Mario, Danville; Albert and Gloria Martinez, Fremont; Jorge and Rosario Berindoague, Moraga; Armando and Helen Fresquez, San Leandro; Frank and Janice Knafelc, Lafayette; Frank and Bella Comelo, San Leandro; Robert and Jeanne Durand, Danville; Pete and Nancy Tehaney, Walnut Creek; Leo and Dolores Torres, Antioch; Art and Margaret Prindle, Walnut Creek; Louis and Betty Vodzak, Lafayette; Phyllis and Jim Boccio, Antioch; Paul David and Catherine Mary Nelson, Antioch; Joseph and Carol Moran, Orinda; Charles (Roger) and Georgette Aubin, Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Kaarto, Berkeley; and Jerry and Carol Fischenich, Oakland.

The contest coincides with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Oakland. The winners will be notified by mail.
