| Catholic Underground's free event to feature prayer, musical concert

Catholic Underground Bay Area, an event for young adults that will include both prayer and music, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. April 21 at St. Augustine Parish, 400 Alcatraz Ave., Oakland.
Rev. Agustino Torres, CFR, will lead prayer in the church beginning at 7:30 p.m. During Eucharistic adoration and prayer, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available.
Father Torres, a New York-based member of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, is in the Bay Area for this event, as well as the youth rally, scheduled earlier in the day in Union City.
At 9 p.m., the gathering will move to the cafeteria for an underground concert featuring Jackie Francois, a full-time speaker, singer/songwriter and worship leader from Orange County. Her debut album is titled "Your Kingdom is Glorious."
Sponsored by the Diocese of Oakland, the event is free, but donations are welcome. This ministry is geared toward young adults, ranging from college students to age 39. For additional information, see www.cuBayArea.org.
