| HIV/AIDS ministry service
Staff report
A service of music, prayer and reflections on the challenges of ministry, education and service to those affected with HIV and AIDS is planned for 7 p.m. May 8 at St. Paschal Church, 3700 Dorisa Ave., Oakland.
The Diocese of Oakland and Catholic Charities of the East Bay have worked since 1987 ministering those with the disease and their caregivers, mainly in providing housing assistance.
Free will offerings will be shared with local HIV/AIDs providers responding to emergencies.
