60th anniversary
at Bishop O'Dowd

Alumni from throughout the decades, past and current faculty and staff members, as well as current students and their families gathered on the campus of Bishop O'Dowd High School on March 25 to celebrate the school's 60th anniversary. Above left, current students Siena Vendlinksi, Jessica Osterberg and Pamela Rosa met with alumni Jerry Knott '57, Carol Matthews Milano '57 and Tommy Brue '79. Right, former O'Dowd faculty member Eva Kastel, who taught at O'Dowd from 1968-2000, peruses memorabilia in the Living Museum which showcased O'Dowd's history. After a concelebrated Mass by several former faculty members and students, the more than 300 attendees reminisced in the small gym, where a Living Museum showcasing O'Dowd's history was featured. A special display was devoted to Bishop James T. O'Dowd, the school's namesake. The bishop's great nephew, Paul O'Dowd, drove from New Mexico to join in the celebration.
