Mary's month
St. John Catholic School in San Lorenzo celebrated a special liturgy and May Crowning ceremony on May 9. The school and parish communities also gathered to celebrate the school's First Communicants at their first all-school liturgy after receiving the Sacrament. A number of Eighth Grade girls, who wrote essays about the importance of Mary in their lives, served as the honor guard and crowned Mary in this special annual ceremony: from left, Angelica Enriquez, Alexa Sanchez, Claryssa Rickle, Donella Hedges, Caroline Gonsalves, Valeria Rosa, Tara Rios, Stephanie Carbajal and Irene Garcia.
