The annual collection to support the publication of The Catholic Voice, El Heraldo Católico, the annual Diocesan Directory and affiliated websites will take place in most parishes Oct. 6 and 7, and in other parishes later this month.

The money donated in each collection remains in each parish to offset the parish's assessment for The Voice and affiliated operations. Make the checks payable to your parish.

The Voice has 21 issues a year and is delivered to 90,000 Catholic households in the Oakland diocese. El Heraldo Católico is available monthly at all parishes where Mass is said in Spanish.

Every registered Catholic household is entitled to receive The Voice as part of belonging to a parish. The newspaper is also available online at www.catholicvoiceoakland.org as is an online subscription.
